SecureNinja's CASE (Certified Application Security Engineer) Java certification training is a 3-day, 24-hour course designed to teach software developers, security professionals, and application testers how to secure Java applications throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). The training is offered by EC-Council and focuses on integrating secure coding principles into development processes. The course covers secure coding principles and best practices for Java applications, secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) and threat modeling, OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities and prevention techniques, input validation, authentication and authorization security measures, secure session management and cryptography implementation, secure database access and injection attack handling, application logging and error handling, web services and API security, security testing methodologies and tools, and secure deployment practices with post-deployment monitoring. The training includes hands-on learning through real-world case studies, secure coding labs, and attack simulations. The certification exam consists of 50 multiple-choice questions, requires 2 hours to complete, and has a 70% passing score. The exam is available online via the EC-Council exam portal. Prerequisites include ECSP (.NET/Java) membership in good standing, minimum of two years of work experience in InfoSec or software development, or equivalent certifications such as GSSP .NET/Java. The training is delivered as an onsite format for groups of 5 or more participants.
