SecEdge Edge-Compute is a platform firmware resilience and secure remote management solution for data center server infrastructure. It addresses the security of server firmware (such as BIOS) and the growing risks associated with remote administration in hybrid cloud environments. The solution centers on SEC-TPM™, a TPM 2.0 compliant firmware TPM that anchors a hardware root-of-trust in the server. This enables device authentication, secure boot and firmware updates, and encryption key generation and storage, protecting servers from attacks originating from malicious systems on the same network. Edge-Compute extends TPM boot measurements to the server root-of-trust to facilitate Platform Firmware Resilience (PFR), ensuring firmware remains trustworthy and can recover from corruption, tampering, or attacks. The firmware TPM can be embedded either in the server's root-of-trust hardware or within the BMC (Baseboard Management Controller) chip. The solution integrates SEC-TPM with BMC platforms to enable device-level security and secure remote access to the data center. It supports secure provisioning, change of ownership workflows, and isolation of access to the BMC chip. Partnerships include Aspeed Technology, Axiado Corporation, and Lattice Semiconductor, with demonstrated integrations into OpenBMC environments.
