Scylos Ephemeral Endpoint Architecture Description

Scylos Ephemeral Endpoint Architecture (EEA) provides a stateless execution environment for kiosks and self-service devices. The platform decouples execution from the operating system, transforming endpoints into stateless execution surfaces that terminate without persistence when sessions end. The architecture consists of two components: Scylos ZeroCore, a stateless runtime that boots clean and executes only required operations, and Scylos Switchboard, a centralized control plane for defining and governing endpoint behavior across distributed fleets. Each user session begins from a verified baseline with no persistent data, credentials, or execution artifacts remaining between sessions. The system operates in a single-tenant, fully isolated architecture where customer workloads and infrastructure are not shared. The platform targets public-facing kiosk deployments including retail self-checkout, quick-service restaurant ordering, airport check-in, healthcare intake, financial terminals, government self-service, and event installations. Recovery from crashes or tampering occurs through termination and re-execution rather than remediation. Kiosks can be locked to specific applications or workflows through authorized execution profiles. Updates and policy changes are managed centrally and propagate automatically without individual device intervention. The architecture eliminates local OS components and storage to reduce attack surface in unattended, physically accessible environments.
