Obot MCP Gateway is an open-source control plane for managing Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers within enterprise environments. The platform provides centralized management of MCP servers that enable AI tools and agents to connect with internal systems. The gateway handles MCP server onboarding, access control, security policies, audit logging, and cataloging of MCP capabilities. It integrates with organizational identity providers to establish authenticated access for users and enforces fine-grained access policies to control which users and teams can access specific MCPs. Obot supports hosting and proxying of local, remote, and multi-tenant MCP servers. The platform includes a built-in MCP catalog that provides discovery, documentation, and connection details for all registered MCP servers. Users can browse their personalized catalog and generate connection URLs for use with AI clients. The platform provides monitoring and audit logging capabilities for tracking usage, detecting anomalies, and enforcing governance policies across MCP servers and AI agents. IT teams can manage configurations through a web UI or GitOps workflows. Obot enables AI agents such as Claude, Cursor, VSCode, and custom internal agents to access internal systems through the gateway while enforcing access policies. The platform includes call filtering capabilities to address security concerns including prompt injection attacks. The gateway can be deployed in enterprise environments and includes support for PostgreSQL-backed and custom internal MCP servers.
