Kaspersky Anti-Virus SDK Description

Kaspersky Anti-Virus SDK is a software development kit that provides development libraries for integrating Kaspersky's anti-malware engine into third-party hardware or software products. The SDK enables developers to embed malware detection capabilities into various solutions including service provider data centers, carrier-grade IT solutions, desktops, and embedded platforms. The SDK supports Windows and Linux operating systems and runs on Intel and ARM hardware platforms. It provides comprehensive API access for implementing anti-malware functionality across different deployment scenarios, from SOHO and SMB environments to large enterprise and service provider infrastructures. The SDK includes machine learning-powered detection algorithms that analyze threats using Kaspersky's infrastructural systems. It incorporates heuristic analysis that emulates object execution in a virtual environment to identify suspicious behaviors. The technology is supported by Kaspersky Security Network, which collects threat intelligence from millions of endpoints globally to enable rapid response to emerging threats. The SDK offers cloud mode functionality that reduces anti-malware database size by over 100MB when connected to KSN. It includes a format recognizer that improves scanning speed by allowing users to skip file formats unlikely to contain malicious payloads. The SDK provides detection capabilities for viruses, Trojans, worms, rootkits, ransomware, spyware, zero-day threats, adware, and riskware. Additional capabilities include fast scanning of trusted files, sandbox-compatible scanning modes, and an updatable list of file formats for KSN scanning. The SDK is designed for integration with mail systems, proxy servers via ICAP, and mobile network solutions.
