The system applies a proprietary filtering algorithm to exclude articles where criminal activity is referenced in the title but not substantiated in the content. It supports fuzzy name matching, abbreviation checking, typo tolerance, name translation, and multiple languages including English, Spanish, Polish, Russian, Japanese, and others. For companies, the tool supports sanctions and adverse media checks as part of a Know Your Business (KYB) onboarding flow or as standalone manual checks. Screening can be performed as a one-time check or configured for ongoing daily monitoring. The product is accessible via a dashboard or a REST API, which supports webhook notifications, automated user addition following identity verification, false positive whitelisting, audit trail logs, PDF report generation, and team notes. The tool integrates with iDenfy's identity verification (KYC) service, allowing AML checks to be triggered automatically during the onboarding process.
