GajShield GS596nu is a next-generation firewall appliance designed for enterprise environments. The device is ICSA Labs certified and provides network security with a focus on data protection and visibility. The appliance features 8 ports of 1Gbps copper and 4 ports of 10Gbps SFP+ interfaces, supporting up to 24.1 million concurrent sessions and 300,000 new sessions per second. It delivers 72 Gbps firewall throughput, 13.2 Gbps VPN throughput, and 9.6 Gbps NGFW throughput. The device supports up to 50,000 VPN tunnels. The firewall implements a context-based data security approach for controlling data transactions and preventing data exploitation. It includes network behavior analysis capabilities and provides visibility into data flows across the network. The appliance supports configurable WAN/DMZ/LAN ports and includes redundant hot-swappable power supplies. High availability configurations are supported through both Active-Active and Active-Passive modes. The device can be managed through GajShield's Centralized Firewall Management System. It includes 2 expandable slots for additional modules. The firewall incorporates intrusion prevention, antivirus scanning, application filtering, and BYOD policy enforcement. Additional capabilities include policy-based ISP load balancing, bandwidth management, and on-appliance reporting functionality.
