GajShield GS1496nu is a next-generation firewall appliance that provides data security capabilities with context-based data protection. The device is ICSA Labs certified and designed for enterprise deployments. The firewall includes 8 ports of 1Gbps copper Ethernet interfaces with 7 expandable slots for additional port modules. It supports up to 96 million concurrent sessions and 625,000 new sessions per second. Performance specifications include 155 Gbps firewall throughput, 75 Gbps NGFW throughput, 82.5 Gbps IPS throughput, 36 Gbps antivirus throughput, and 42 Gbps VPN throughput with support for 100,000 VPN tunnels. The appliance features dual multicore physical processor architecture and supports high availability configurations in both active-active and active-passive modes. Ports can be configured as WAN, DMZ, or LAN interfaces. The device can be managed through GajShield's Centralized Firewall Management System. Security capabilities include data leak prevention, threat surface management, network behavior analysis, application filtering, and BYOD policy enforcement. The firewall provides on-appliance reporting and data visibility features. Additional functionality includes policy-based ISP load balancing and bandwidth management.
