Ephemeral Endpoints by Scylos provides a stateless execution architecture for manufacturing and operational technology environments. The platform decouples execution from traditional operating systems, transforming industrial endpoints into stateless execution surfaces that run only authorized workloads before terminating without persistence. The solution consists of two core components: Scylos ZeroCore, a stateless runtime that boots clean and executes only required tasks before terminating, and Scylos Switchboard, a centralized control plane that defines, deploys, and governs endpoint behavior across distributed fleets. The platform operates on a single-tenant, fully isolated architecture where customer workloads, data, and infrastructure are never shared. Endpoints are treated as temporary execution environments defined entirely by policy rather than computers requiring traditional management. The architecture eliminates persistent OS services, local credentials, and accumulated state from industrial endpoints including HMIs, production workstations, inspection stations, edge controllers, industrial kiosks, and warehouse systems. Configuration drift is prevented through centrally managed execution profiles that ensure deterministic behavior across multiple facilities. Recovery occurs through termination and re-execution rather than troubleshooting or cleanup. The platform supports compatible x86 and ARM-based industrial hardware that meets secure-boot and platform requirements. Execution profiles and policies are updated centrally without requiring device reimaging or manual intervention on the plant floor.
