The EdgeWave Email Filtering Appliance MAG2500 is a managed on-premises email security appliance powered by Red Condor technology. The appliance supports up to 1,000 mailboxes and provides email filtering at the network perimeter to protect against spam, viruses, spyware, phishing, and other email-borne threats. The appliance operates as a self-contained unit with its own hardened operating system and requires no additional software or hardware installations. It is monitored and maintained by EdgeWave engineers who provide proactive management and apply automatic updates for threat detection rules. The system uses Adaptive Threat Detection technology for multi-layered perimeter defense and behavior-based filtering. Zero Minute Defense enables engineers to analyze emerging threats and deploy blocking rules in real-time. The appliance includes TLS encryption capabilities for securing email communications through certificate-based private networks. Administrative functions are managed through a web-based dashboard that allows domain administrators to set filtering policies and monitor performance. End users can access a Personal Dashboard to review quarantined messages and adjust individual filter settings through Spam Digest reports. The appliance provides disaster recovery protection by spooling filtered email for up to 96 hours during outages or maintenance periods. It includes both inbound and outbound spam and virus filtering to protect against blacklisting. Reporting tools generate comprehensive data on message traffic across the organization or individual users. The MAG2500 can be deployed standalone or configured in clusters for enterprise environments. It can also be combined with EdgeWave's hosted SaaS service for hybrid failover protection.
