Cyberoam CR750iNG-XP is a next-generation firewall appliance designed for enterprise networks. The product is no longer available and has been succeeded by Sophos products. The appliance provides Layer 8 identity-based security that treats user identity as the eighth layer in the network protocol stack, enabling administrators to control network activity and set policies based on usernames. This identity layer binds with Layers 2-7 to provide security controls across the network stack. The firewall includes stateful inspection capabilities with support for multiple security zones and access control based on user identity, source/destination zones, MAC/IP addresses, and services. It offers inline application inspection and control covering over 2000 applications, with classification based on risk level, characteristics, and technology. Security features include an Intrusion Prevention System for protection against network and application-level attacks, malware, Trojans, DoS/DDoS attacks, and blended threats. Web filtering provides URL database coverage across 89+ categories to block harmful websites and prevent phishing and pharming attacks. The appliance supports VPN connectivity through both IPSec and SSL protocols. Additional capabilities include bandwidth management with QoS controls tied to users, user groups, applications, and website categories. Optional security features include Web Application Firewall for protecting against OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities, Gateway Anti-Virus, and Gateway Anti-Spam. The CR750iNG-XP includes on-appliance reporting with over 1200 reports for real-time visibility into user and network activities. The appliance features 8 fixed Copper GbE ports and 2 slots for FleXi Port modules that support additional Copper/Fiber 1G/10G ports, allowing up to 24 total ports. Performance specifications include 22 Gbps firewall throughput (UDP), support for up to 3 million concurrent sessions, and 140,000 new sessions per second.
