Cyberoam CR35iNG is a Unified Threat Management (UTM) appliance designed for small office/home office (SOHO) and remote/branch office (ROBO) networks. This product is no longer available and has been replaced by Sophos offerings. The appliance implements Layer 8 Technology, which treats user identity as the eighth layer in the protocol stack, enabling identity-based security policies and providing visibility into network activity by username rather than IP address alone. The device features Extensible Security Architecture (ESA) for feature enhancements and deployment. Hardware specifications include 6 copper Gigabit Ethernet ports, 1 console port (RJ45), and 2 USB ports. Performance metrics include firewall throughput of 2,300 Mbps (UDP) and 2,000 Mbps (TCP), support for up to 350,000 concurrent sessions, and 12,000 new sessions per second. The device supports 150 IPSec tunnels with 250 Mbps throughput and SSL VPN with 100 Mbps throughput. Security features include stateful inspection firewall, intrusion prevention system, gateway anti-virus and anti-spyware, anti-spam (inbound and outbound), web filtering, application visibility and control, web application firewall, and bandwidth management. The device provides VPN capabilities through IPSec, L2TP, PPTP, and SSL VPN protocols. Additional capabilities include multiple link management for WAN connectivity, 3G/4G/WiMAX connectivity support, IPv6 Ready Gold certification, wireless security standards (IEEE 802.11 n/b/g), and support for up to 8 BSSID access points. The appliance offers on-appliance reporting and integrates with Cyberoam Central Console (CCC) and iView solutions for centralized management and logging.
