Cyberoam CR15iNG is a Unified Threat Management (UTM) appliance designed for Small Office/Home Office (SOHO) and Remote Office/Branch Office (ROBO) networks. The device is part of Cyberoam's NG series and is no longer available for purchase. The appliance implements Layer 8 Technology, which treats user identity as the eighth layer in the protocol stack, enabling identity-based security policies and providing visibility into network activity by username rather than IP address alone. The device features an Extensible Security Architecture (ESA) for feature enhancements. Hardware specifications include 3 Copper GbE ports, 1 console port (RJ45), and 2 USB ports. The device supports configurable Internal/DMZ/WAN ports. Performance metrics include 1,000 Mbps firewall throughput (UDP), 750 Mbps firewall throughput (TCP), 3,500 new sessions per second, 60,000 concurrent sessions, 110 Mbps IPSec VPN throughput with support for 50 IPSec tunnels, 50 Mbps SSL VPN throughput, 180 Mbps anti-virus throughput, 140 Mbps IPS throughput, and 80 Mbps UTM throughput. The device provides network security through stateful inspection firewall and intrusion prevention system capabilities. Content security features include anti-virus, anti-spyware, anti-spam (inbound and outbound), and HTTPS/SSL content inspection. Additional capabilities include web filtering, bandwidth management, application visibility and control, VPN (IPSec, L2TP, PPTP, SSL VPN), multiple link management, 3G/4G/WiMAx connectivity, and IPv6 support. The appliance includes on-appliance reporting and supports centralized management through Cyberoam Central Console (CCC) appliances and iView solutions.
