CionSystems Active Directory Recovery Manager is a backup and recovery solution for Microsoft Active Directory (AD) environments. It allows administrators to back up and restore AD objects at varying levels of granularity — from individual attributes to entire domains or forests. The tool supports both on-demand and scheduled backups, including full and incremental AD backups. Administrators can configure backup source locations on a shared drive folder. Recovery options range from granular restores of specific objects or attributes to full domain restores. The solution supports restoration of users, groups, organizational units (OUs), Group Policy Objects (GPOs), containers, and both system and non-system attributes — without requiring a system restart. Additional capabilities include an extensible search function for locating deleted items by date or other criteria, the ability to compare backup snapshots to identify changes, and undelete functionality for partitions, containers, and objects. The product features a web-based user interface and is compatible with Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 domain controllers. It requires Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5/4.0/4.5, SQL Server 2005 or higher, and IIS 7.x or higher. Note: The product's functionality has since been rolled into CionSystems' Enterprise Identity Manager platform.
