CionSystems Active Directory Change Notifier is a web-based auditing and monitoring tool that tracks and reports changes occurring within Active Directory (AD) domains. The tool detects and logs modifications to AD objects, identifying who made changes, what was changed, and when the change occurred. It covers additions, modifications, and deletions of AD objects including users, groups, computers, OUs, GPOs, contacts, domains, and more. Real-time email notifications alert administrators when changes are detected, with configurable filters to limit alerts to specific critical objects or events — such as account lockouts, group membership changes, or new object creation. All changes are logged for archiving, analysis, and compliance reporting. The tool includes over 400 pre-built reports covering users, objects, groups, GPOs, computers, Exchange, file, and printer objects, and supports regulatory compliance frameworks such as SOX, PCI, and HIPAA. AD backup scheduling (full and incremental) is also noted as a capability. The product runs on Windows Server 2008+ with .NET Framework 4.0 or higher and is described as lightweight and installable without coding or command-line scripting. Note: Active Directory change auditor and reporter functionality has been rolled into CionSystems' Enterprise Identity Manager product.
