SecureGuard DLP USB Blocker is a Data Loss Prevention (DLP) software solution that controls USB device access on company computers. It is managed through the SecureData Remote Management Console (RM), a cloud-based SaaS platform, allowing IT administrators to enforce USB device policies across an organization. Administrators can whitelist or blacklist USB devices by Vendor ID (VID), Product ID (PID), serial number, or revision. When an unauthorized device is inserted, the program blocks the user from accessing all computer functions until the device is removed. Device control coverage includes: - Portable external storage (USB, HDD, SSD) - Human Interface Devices (mouse, keyboard, headset) - Mobile and photo/video devices (phones, tablets, cameras) - Card readers - Printers and scanners Key management capabilities via the Remote Management Console: - Set global policies or individual per-user policies - Configure authorized devices in Read-Only mode - View detailed access logs including date/time, device type, identification numbers, and allow/block status - Add or remove devices from whitelists/blacklists in real time The software is installed on endpoint computers, which then appear automatically in the Remote Management Console. Authentication during installation uses the same admin credentials as the RM account. Licensing is subscription-based, priced per computer per year, with Standard (1 PC) and Business (3 PCs) license tiers available. The product uses DataLock® RM and DataLock® DLP technologies licensed from a third party.
