OTIFYD's Table Top Exercise (TTX) is a facilitated cybersecurity service designed to test an organisation's ability to respond to cyber incidents, with a focus on Operational Technology (OT) environments. The service involves expert-led, verbally-simulated cyber-attack scenarios tailored to the organisation. Participants — typically including executive management, IT and OT teams, and stakeholders named in the Incident Response (IR) plan — are guided through realistic crisis scenarios to evaluate their decision-making and response capabilities. The exercise is structured around the Purdue Model for industrial environments and incorporates "injects" — unexpected scenario additions introduced by the facilitator to test dynamic group response. Deliverables from the service include: - A facilitated TTX workshop - A formalised report covering: TTX methodology, executive summary, description of current risk exposure and potential consequences, description of real-world cyber scenarios used, workshop findings and observations, and remediation recommendations with associated priorities - A high-level presentation for executive-level stakeholders The service aims to validate existing IR plans, clarify roles and responsibilities across departments, identify training gaps, improve inter-departmental coordination, and provide both tactical and strategic remediation blueprints. TTX sessions are recommended at least annually and may run from a few hours to multiple days depending on scope and objectives.
