NCP Secure Client VPN is a remote access VPN client solution developed by NCP Engineering. It provides encrypted IPsec-based tunneling for remote workers connecting to corporate networks, with support for modern mobile broadband standards including 4G and 5G via the Windows Mobile Broadband Interface. Key connectivity capabilities include Wi-Fi Roaming, which allows automatic switching between access points without dropping the VPN session, and Seamless Roaming, which extends this across different network media (LAN, Wi-Fi, and mobile networks). The VPN Path Finder feature enables connectivity through restrictive firewalls by falling back to port 443 (HTTPS) when standard IPsec ports are blocked. The client supports IKEv2 with EAP authentication, MOBIKE for mobile IPsec reliability, and NAT-T. It includes a configurable Home Zone profile for home office environments with tailored firewall rules, and a VPN Bypass feature that allows specific applications to route outside the VPN tunnel. An integrated Dynamic Personal Firewall with Friendly Net Detection automatically applies appropriate firewall rules based on the detected network environment. The firewall includes stateful packet inspection, IP-NAT, application-dependent filter rules, and automated hotspot detection. Endpoint Security (NAC) functionality checks security parameters such as antivirus status, certificates, and software versions before granting network access. The client supports FIPS 140-2 certified cryptography (certificate #1747) and Single Sign-On via SAML. APN data is automatically read from SIM cards to simplify mobile provider configuration. Central management and distribution of client configurations is handled through NCP Secure Enterprise Management, which also includes an integrated, unlimited RADIUS server.
