Kudelski KSE is a hardware security IP portfolio designed for SoC (System-on-Chip) manufacturers to integrate security capabilities into IoT devices. The solution provides cryptographic functions, key management, and physical attack protection through a proprietary RISC-V processor-based architecture. The KSE portfolio consists of two product series (KSE5 and KSE3) that offer different security levels while maintaining a common core feature set. The modular architecture allows SoC manufacturers to select security components based on their specific requirements for security level, performance, and gate count. The product includes the Secure Flash Access (SFA) block for protecting data stored in external non-volatile memory (NVM), ensuring confidentiality, authenticity, integrity, and freshness. It supports quantum-resistant cryptography and provides secure provisioning, storage, and usage of cryptographic keys. Security services are integrated through the Kudelski Secure Services Library (KSSL) and include secure device lifecycle management, secure boot, secure debug capabilities, and data communication protection. The platform enables development of proprietary Trust Applications (TAs) in an isolated secure environment. The solution is designed to meet security requirements across multiple vertical markets and complies with governmental and industry standards. Kudelski provides support for integration and certification processes, with products adhering to coding standards and undergoing comprehensive assessments and audits.
