IDappcom Rules is a curated set of Snort-compatible intrusion detection and prevention signatures, bundled with associated PCAP/KAR traffic files and a comprehensive exploit library. **Security Rules:** Rules are written in standard Snort syntax and target the underlying vulnerability rather than source IP addresses, enabling detection of exploit variants and morphed attacks. They can be delivered as plain text files or within a Microsoft Access database and loaded directly into any Snort-compatible IDS/IPS with minimal configuration. **PCAP & Traffic Files:** Packet capture files contain examples of real-world malicious traffic exploiting known vulnerabilities, as well as benign traffic for configuration testing. PCAPs are also available in an encrypted proprietary KAR format to prevent interference from antivirus scanners during replay testing. **IDappcom Library:** The full library contains over 21,000 proven exploits, pairing each PCAP/KAR file with one or more Snort rules and additional vulnerability metadata. The library is accessible as a Microsoft Access database or via a JSON API. **Research & Coverage:** Rules are developed by a dedicated research team that verifies exploits are functional and observed in the wild before publication. Coverage includes not only primary exploit signatures but also variants and morphed versions of those exploits. The ruleset is used by IPS/NGFW vendors, whose feedback informs ongoing updates.
