Garland Technology Mirror Virtual TAP (GTvTAP) is a software-based network TAP (Test Access Point) designed to mirror virtual network traffic in both cloud and on-premise environments. GTvTAP runs as a guest VM on a host selected for monitoring, capturing and encapsulating mirrored network packets and forwarding them to a single monitoring destination. It is intended to provide IT network engineers with a reliable method of feeding copied packets to virtual monitoring solution sensors. The product is available for both Windows and Linux operating systems and is compatible with Microsoft Azure environments. Licensing is structured as a single annual enterprise license (part number VTAP1YR), which covers unlimited users and installations across the organization for the duration of the license period.
