Fingerprints Identity Cloud is a biometric data storage and management platform that uses template fragmentation and distributed storage to protect biometric identities at scale. Rather than storing complete biometric templates in a centralized repository, the system splits each template into multiple encrypted fragments and distributes them across independent storage nodes. No single node holds a complete biometric identity, which limits the impact of any individual node being compromised. The platform supports multiple biometric modalities including fingerprint, facial, iris, and voice. It is designed to integrate with existing Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Know Your Customer (KYC) systems via standardized APIs. Authentication is performed without reconstructing the full stored template — the algorithm compares a captured template directly against the distributed fragments. Deployment options include licensing as a microservice (priced per person, per month), hosting in a customer's own cloud environment, or on-premises deployment. The platform can also be combined with Fingerprints' biometric recognition SDKs. The architecture is designed to address compliance requirements under GDPR, CCPA, and BIPA through data minimization, access logging, and support for data subject rights. Typical use cases include passwordless login, helpdesk authentication, self-service account recovery, and shared device access.
