EndaceFlow is a NetFlow generator that produces unsampled NetFlow records from network traffic at speeds up to 40 Gb/s. Unlike sampled NetFlow generated by switches and routers, EndaceFlow operates at a 1:1 ratio, meaning every flow across IPv4 and IPv6 networks is captured without omission. The tool is deployed on EndaceProbe hardware appliances, offloading NetFlow generation from network devices such as switches, routers, and firewalls, freeing up their CPU resources. Management is handled through EndaceCMS. EndaceFlow is intended to work alongside continuous packet capture. NetFlow provides a high-level summary of traffic patterns and user behavior, while packet capture supplies the forensic detail required for deeper investigation. Together, they are designed to support incident response, security monitoring, and network performance troubleshooting.
