ARCA Trusted OS on Bare Metal is a hardened operating system designed to provide a trusted and robust execution environment for containers running on physical servers and computing boards. It targets environments where servers may not be under full physical control of the operating organization, addressing threats related to unauthorized physical access and data security. The OS supports both x86 and ARM processor architectures, and is deployable on a range of hardware — from large servers down to small single-board computers such as the Raspberry Pi 4B and STM32MP157F-DK2. Deployment options include: - Standard bare metal (x86 servers with UEFI firmware and TPM 2.0/fTPM, or Raspberry Pi 4B) - Bare metal with Confidential Computing (AMD SEV on x86; ARM TrustZone on STM32MP157F-DK2) - Bare metal with RAM encryption (Mini server AMD; Intel NUC planned) For x86 deployments, servers must have UEFI firmware and TPM 2.0 (or fTPM) and must be qualified by CYSEC. A list of qualified servers is maintained, and CYSEC's engineering team can qualify additional hardware upon request.
