AGAT Inline DLP for Microsoft Teams is a Data Loss Prevention solution designed specifically for Microsoft Teams environments. It inspects messages, files, and audio communications in real time, preventing sensitive data from being transmitted to the cloud or to external users before delivery occurs. The product operates as an inline inspection layer, meaning data is evaluated at the point of transmission rather than after the fact. It supports both real-time inspection of data in motion and near real-time inspection of data at rest, covering both new and existing content stored within Teams. DLP inspection can be performed using the product's built-in engine or by integrating with existing DLP infrastructures from third-party vendors. Administrators can define file type allowlists and blocklists, controlling which file extensions (e.g., .docx, .pdf) are permitted or denied (e.g., .exe, .zip, .rar) in real time. A notable capability is real-time audio inspection: the product, operating under the SphereShield brand, transcribes and inspects live audio conversations during Teams meetings, providing compliance feedback during the conversation. The product also addresses coverage gaps compared to native Microsoft Teams DLP, including the ability to inspect traffic when internal users are guests in external tenants, inspect traffic in meetings hosted by external parties, inspect MS Stream recordings, and enforce policies for external/guest users.
