ShardSecure Platform is a data security solution designed to protect unstructured data across hybrid-cloud and multi-cloud environments. The platform uses a proprietary approach that involves shredding data into microshards (as small as four bytes), mixing them with poison data, and distributing them across multiple storage locations. The platform provides agentless file-level encryption for files, folders, and storage locations both on-premises and in the cloud. It offers ransomware protection by maintaining data accessibility during attacks, outages, and unauthorized deletion events. The solution includes data integrity checks and self-healing capabilities to protect against data tampering. For data privacy, the platform separates data ownership from infrastructure ownership and supports regulatory compliance requirements including GDPR/Schrems II and US state privacy laws. It addresses data sovereignty and residency concerns in various storage architectures. The platform presents itself to applications, databases, and servers as a cloud or network storage location through an S3-compatible API and iSCSI module. The data processing workflow involves three stages: shredding (compression and microsharding), mixing (combining microshards with poison data), and distribution (dispersing to multiple storage locations). ShardSecure offers a free tier called ShardSecure Spark for organizations with data protection requirements up to 10 GB. The platform holds FIPS 140-3 Level 1 certification.
