Carbide Automated Evidence Collection is a compliance evidence management feature within the Carbide GRC platform. It automates the gathering, mapping, and contextualization of audit evidence from connected tools and systems, linking evidence to relevant security controls and compliance frameworks.

The product operates on a hybrid model combining platform automation with a human advisory layer. The platform continuously pulls evidence from integrated systems (cloud infrastructure, identity providers, development tools, security tools, HR systems) without requiring manual screenshot collection. A dedicated advisory team then reviews the collected evidence to validate its quality and ensure it satisfies auditor requirements.

Evidence is automatically mapped to compliance frameworks including SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI DSS, and GDPR, as well as custom frameworks. Carbide maintains a library of 2,000+ control mappings. Each evidence item is linked to the controls it satisfies, related policies, assigned tasks, responsible owners, and supporting documentation, providing full context for auditors.

The advisory team coordinates directly with auditors during testing phases, handles follow-up requests, and identifies evidence gaps prior to audits. Gap analysis functionality shows which controls lack sufficient evidence coverage.
