Enginsight is a cybersecurity platform designed to help operators of critical infrastructures (KRITIS) comply with German IT Security Act 2.0 (IT-SiG 2.0) and BSI requirements, particularly the mandatory use of attack detection systems (SzA) under Section 8a (1a) BSIG. The platform addresses BSI orientation guide requirements across three phases: LOGGING: Collects communication and network event data, along with log data from systems, storing it for forensic investigations. Log data can be anonymized for data protection compliance. Collected data is evaluated and classified with alerting functionality. DETECTION: Performs continuous anomaly detection in real time based on communication metadata, content, and log data. Includes host-based IDS to detect attack payloads and an integrated endpoint detection and response (EDR) module to protect against malicious code. Anomaly messages are prioritized by criticality with color-coded alerts, customizable user and group policies, and comprehensive vulnerability management. RESPONSE: Supports automated intrusion prevention via an Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) that intercepts suspicious network communication without disrupting normal operations. Allows both automated and manual handling of vulnerabilities and events. Generates enriched incident reports for mandatory BSI reporting obligations and can automatically alert on security-relevant events. The platform supports IT asset inventory at the push of a button and live monitoring of IT infrastructure. It is designed to help organizations achieve BSI maturity level 3 (with a path to level 4) and can connect to external systems such as SIEM via standard interfaces.
