eID Easy eSealing API is a REST API service that enables organizations to apply electronic seals to documents automatically, without human intervention. It is designed for businesses that process large volumes of documents requiring official authentication, such as invoices and contracts, in sectors including finance, procurement, and legal services. The service issues company-specific certificates through Qualified Trust Service Providers (QTSPs), supporting both Qualified and Advanced eSeals issued with a qualified certificate. Private keys associated with the certificates are stored on Hardware Security Modules (HSMs), which can be USB tokens or rack-mounted data center units capable of processing multiple eSeals per second. Once integrated, documents are sealed automatically according to the organization's workflow. Each eSeal certificate includes the company's details to establish document origin. If a sealed document is altered after sealing, the eSeal is invalidated, providing tamper evidence. The solution is designed to comply with international standards including the EU Trust List and Adobe Trust List. eID Easy manages connections to QTSPs across multiple countries, handles certificate access and billing, and ensures compliance with local regulations through a single API integration point. The API is intended to scale from hundreds to thousands of documents and supports both local and international document sealing use cases.
