Defguard WireGuard VPN Client is a cross-platform VPN client that supports standard WireGuard configurations across Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems. The client provides a graphical user interface for managing WireGuard connections without requiring command-line interaction. The client includes real-time connection statistics with charts, connection history tracking, and client logging capabilities. It can import standard WireGuard configuration files and manage multiple VPN profiles simultaneously. When used with the Defguard control plane server, the client supports multi-factor authentication (MFA) at the connection level, including time-based one-time passwords (TOTP) and email verification. The control plane integration enables centralized identity management, user directory with groups and permissions, access control policies, audit logging, and multi-gateway support for managing VPN connections across different locations. The client supports remote enrollment through time-limited enrollment links and QR code scanning for mobile devices. Mobile applications are available for iOS and Android platforms with biometric unlock capabilities. The software is dual-licensed with an AGPLv3 open-source core and undergoes regular penetration testing. A Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) is published per release with daily vulnerability scans. The product is ISO/IEC 27001:2023 certified.
