Obsidian CA is an EMV Certificate Authority (CA) management software designed for national and regional domestic payment schemes that wish to operate independently using EMV technology rails. It enables central authorities to issue and manage CA and issuer certificates within a defined region, supporting the onboarding of card issuers and payment processors to national payment schemes. The software can be configured to comply with major payment network standards such as Mastercard and Visa, which governs the data exchange formats used with other systems. Each Certificate Authority managed by Obsidian CA may hold multiple self-signed CA certificates. The system issues Issuer Public Key certificates using specific CA keys.
