TypingDNA 2FA Authenticator Description

TypingDNA 2FA Authenticator is a Chrome browser extension that generates time-based one-time passwords (TOTP) for two-factor authentication without requiring a mobile device. The tool stores 2FA secret keys locally on the user's device or optionally in Chrome sync storage. The Premium version incorporates typing biometrics authentication, which analyzes the user's unique typing pattern to create an encryption key for protecting stored secrets. Users authenticate by typing their email and a secured phrase, with the typing pattern analyzed in the background. The biometric authentication system uses artificial intelligence to verify identity based on typing behavior. The extension allows users to set up 2FA by scanning QR codes directly in the browser and provides features for grabbing QR codes with one click and displaying QR codes for backup purposes. Secret keys can be exported and imported between accounts, enabling migration between Premium and Free versions or across different devices. The Free version provides basic 2FA code generation without the typing biometric protection layer, offering faster access without login requirements. Both versions store codes locally by default, though Chrome sync storage is available as an option. The authenticator works with standard TOTP-compatible services including Gmail, Twitter, AWS, Coinbase, Amazon, Slack, GitHub, Dropbox, and over 1000 other platforms that support QR code-based 2FA setup.
