The SecuGen Unity 20 Bluetooth is a wireless, Bluetooth-enabled smart fingerprint reader designed for biometric authentication, identification, and enrollment. It connects to Apple iOS and Android mobile devices — including iPhones, iPads, smartphones, and tablets — as well as Bluetooth-enabled desktop computers, without requiring cables or OTG adapters. The device uses an optical fingerprint sensor that is resistant to scratches, impact, vibration, and electrostatic shock. It is capable of capturing high-quality fingerprint images from difficult fingerprints (dry, wet, or scarred) across challenging environments. The reader is FBI certified and compliant with PIV, FIPS 201, and Mobile ID FAP 20 standards. It features NIST MINEX-certified and FIPS 201-compliant embedded fingerprint algorithms for template generation and matching. It supports SG400, ISO/IEC 19794-2, and single-view ANSI INCITS 378-2004 template formats, and provides large on-device fingerprint template storage capacity. A built-in Fingerprint Management System (FMS) API supports development in C/C++, .NET, Python, Java, and any language capable of opening a serial port. A free developer kit is available, including sample code and documentation.
