The SecuGen OptiMouse Plus is a USB fingerprint mouse that combines standard optical mouse functionality with a built-in contact fingerprint sensor (SDU03P). It is designed for authentication, identification, and verification use cases, allowing fingerprints to serve as biometric credentials. The fingerprint sensor is ergonomically positioned on the side of the mouse where the thumb rests, enabling natural and consistent finger placement. The optical sensor captures fingerprint images at 500 DPI with a resolution of 260 x 300 pixels and supports 256 gray scale levels (8-bit). Key SDK-dependent capabilities include Auto-On™ (automatic finger detection), Smart Capture™ (self-adjusting image acquisition), and Device Recognition™ (device-level authentication). The sensor supports 360-degree fingerprint rotation and includes latent print rejection, meaning it does not accept residual fingerprints left on the sensor surface. The device connects via USB 1.1 Full-Speed or USB 2.0 Hi-Speed and is powered directly through the USB port (5V, 180 mA max). It complies with biometric standards INCITS 378, ISO/IEC 19794-2, and ISO/IEC 19794-4, and holds FCC, CE, KCC, and RoHS certifications.
