The SecuGen Hamster Air (model HU-AIR) is a contactless USB fingerprint reader that captures a single fingerprint without physical contact. It uses the U-AIR contactless fingerprint sensor to scan fingerprints through the air, making it suitable for high-traffic, multi-user environments such as enrollment and check-in stations. The device operates at 500 DPI with an image size of 500x700 pixels and a sensing area of 24.5mm x 35.6mm. It captures fingerprint images at 256 gray scale levels (8-bit) using an LED light source. Smart Capture speed ranges from 0.1 to 0.5 seconds. The reader connects via USB and weighs 125g with a 1500mm cable. It supports biometric standards including INCITS 378, ISO/IEC 19794-2, and ISO/IEC 19794-4.
