Safend Protector is an endpoint data loss prevention solution that monitors and controls data flow through endpoint devices. The product provides port and device control capabilities, allowing organizations to detect, permit, or restrict devices based on type, model, or serial number. The solution includes removable media encryption for USB drives, external hard drives, and CD/DVDs to protect data in motion. It offers granular Wi-Fi control based on MAC address, SSID, or network security level, and includes anti-bridging functionality to prevent hybrid network connections by blocking Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, modems, or IrDA on computers connected to wired LANs. Safend Protector blocks hardware keyloggers and provides U3 and autorun control. The product includes file type control capabilities and integrates with third-party antivirus solutions to scan removable devices for malware before permitting usage. When a device is inserted, the AV SCAN feature blocks it, checks for viruses, and then permits or blocks the device based on scan results and configured policies.
