Muscope|Risk's Attack Perimeter feature is a component of the Muscope|Risk platform that identifies and maps a company's external attack surface. It starts by discovering assets associated with a company's domain that are visible from the internet, including websites, IP addresses, mail servers, DNS servers, networks, and ASNs. For each discovered asset, the feature extracts detailed technical information: - **IPs**: Identifies open ports and types of exposed services. - **Websites**: Detects installed applications, JavaScript libraries used, and evaluates certificate and library security. - **Mail servers**: Assesses domain security configurations such as DMARC and SPF. - **DNS servers**: Analyzes for security issues including zone transfer vulnerabilities and adherence to DNS management best practices. - **Network**: Examines BGP routes to assess resilience against DDoS attacks. - **ASNs**: Evaluates the autonomous system's provider size and connectivity, including relationships with Tier 1, Tier 2 providers and Internet Exchanges. In addition to external asset discovery, the feature monitors for the presence of company information on the dark web and in data leaks. All findings are consolidated into a visual graph representing the company's full attack perimeter. Analysis is updated on a regular schedule, either weekly or daily depending on the organization's requirements.
