Filigran

Filigran develops open source cybersecurity software focused on threat intelligence and adversarial exposure validation. The company was founded in September 2022 and has grown to over 100 employees with operations in EMEA, North America, and APJ regions.

The company's eXtended Threat Management (XTM) suite consists of two primary platforms. OpenCTI is a cyber threat intelligence platform that enables organizations to manage and operationalize their threat intelligence knowledge and observables. OpenAEV (formerly OpenBAS/OpenEx) is an adversarial exposure validation platform designed for creating attack simulations, stress tests, and crisis management exercises.

Filigran's solutions are built on open source principles, with software published under free licenses. The platforms serve cybersecurity teams, crisis management teams, and are widely adopted by government administrations and private sector organizations. The company maintains an open ecosystem approach, encouraging community contributions and feedback.

The company has raised significant funding, including a €5M seed round in June 2023, a €15M Series A in February 2024, a $35M Series B in October 2024, and a $58M Series C in October 2025. This funding supports global expansion, product development including a third module called OpenGRC, and the creation of an AI-native platform called XTM One.

Filigran was recognized in the French Tech Next40/120 program in June 2025, acknowledging it as one of France's top-performing scale-ups. The company emphasizes product quality, small high-value teams, and commitment to serving public interest organizations.
