BasejumpQDN is a key exchange solution that leverages quantum network capabilities to provide cryptographic security against quantum computing threats. The platform extends quantum key exchange networks beyond the typical few hundred kilometer limitation of quantum links over optical fiber by using trusted, certified repeater nodes, with the ability to upgrade to zero-trust quantum repeater nodes as they become available. The solution provides vendor-neutral architecture that allows organizations to incorporate quantum key distribution devices from multiple vendors, avoiding vendor lock-in. It includes intelligent key routing capabilities that optimize network availability and minimize disruptions while delivering keys where and when they are required. BasejumpQDN includes a monitoring dashboard that tracks key usage by external applications, virtual QKD key-swap throughput and latency, QNL key-swap pool state, keys available to external applications, and physical QKD buffered key levels. The platform is part of the Basejump platform from evolutionQ and is currently in deployment. It includes BasejumpSIM, a simulation capability that allows organizations to model quantum key exchange devices running over fiber, satellite links, different network topologies and traffic scenarios in the cloud before deploying physical devices.
