Lightbeam

LightBeam.ai provides a data security platform that converges Data Security Posture Management (DSPM), privacy, and governance capabilities into a unified solution. The company's approach centers on linking data to identities, using what they call a Data Identity Graph to map sensitive data across structured, unstructured, and semi-structured sources.

The platform uses AI to automate data discovery, classification, and protection processes. It addresses challenges related to shadow data, data ownership identification, and privacy compliance automation. The technology maps sensitive data to business context and user identities to enable automated security actions and policy enforcement.

LightBeam.ai was founded by former Nutanix employees who built the solution to address data security challenges they encountered firsthand. The company holds patents related to their Data Identity Graph technology, which ties data assets to the people and systems that interact with them.

The platform targets organizations seeking to reduce data breach risk, minimize ransomware impact, and avoid compliance penalties. It serves companies that need to manage data security, privacy requirements, and governance across multiple data sources and environments.

The solution aims to provide visibility into data ownership, location, and sensitivity levels while automating privacy and security workflows that traditionally required manual processes.
