Shift5 Cyber/EW is a platform designed to protect operational technology systems from cyber and electronic warfare threats. The platform analyzes serial bus traffic and radio frequency (RF) data to identify threats in near real-time during live operations. The system monitors critical operational systems including GPS, engine systems, electrical power systems, tire inflation systems, hydraulics, fire control systems, launcher drive systems, navigation and positioning, communications, and crew protection systems. It provides continuous monitoring and detection capabilities during active missions. The platform detects cyber threats such as denial of service attacks and message traffic deception, while also identifying electronic warfare threats including GPS jamming and compromise attempts on RF-based navigation and communications systems like ACARS and TCAS. Detection capabilities extend up to 200 nautical miles for GPS threats. Shift5 Cyber/EW delivers near real-time alerting to operators, enabling rapid response to intrusions. The system integrates security alerts into existing cybersecurity workflows and tools for incident management. All serial bus and relevant RF data is captured for post-mission forensic analysis. The platform supports adaptive security through system updates that deliver new detections and enhanced capabilities. Shift5 has achieved NIAP certification for full drive encryption, enabling deployment in classified environments.
