QNu Labs Quantum Safe Drone Communication Platform is a quantum-resilient communication solution designed for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). The platform integrates the Q-ORE Encryptor hardware module with industry-standard flight controllers to provide post-quantum cryptographic protection for drone communications. The solution implements CRYSTALS-Kyber (1024-bit, NIST FIPS 203) lattice-based encryption to protect against quantum computing threats including Shor's and Grover's attacks. It features an onboard Quantum Random Number Generator (QRNG) compliant with NIST SP 800-90B that generates true quantum entropy at >1 kbps for cryptographic key creation. The platform includes a tamper-resistant Hardware Security Module (HSM) with hardware-accelerated AES-256-GCM encryption achieving 1 Gbps throughput with sub-millisecond latency. It supports secure boot, firmware attestation, and FIPS 140-3 Level 2 compliant key storage. The system provides real-time tamper detection and secure over-the-air (OTA) updates for cryptographic algorithms. The Q-ORE module operates at 3.3V with <800mA active power consumption and <50mA in deep sleep mode, featuring adaptive power scaling. It offers multiple interfaces including SPI 3.0, I2C 2.1, UART, USB 2.0, GPIO, and Secure JTAG. The platform supports MAVLink v2, DDS, and custom protocols with firmware APIs available in C/C++/Python. The solution meets NIST PQC (FIPS 203) and FIPS 140-2 standards and includes comprehensive security monitoring with real-time checks on cryptographic health, entropy quality, and tamper events.
