DERSec LabTest is an automated testing solution for Distributed Energy Resource (DER) devices including solar, storage, EV chargers, and wind systems. The software automates compliance testing for UL 1741 SB and IEEE 1547 standards, DER protocols, and cybersecurity requirements. The platform communicates with laboratory hardware through Ethernet, serial, or GPIB interfaces to execute test sequences. Laboratory configurations include DC power supplies, AC grid simulators, data acquisition systems, and equipment under test. Test sequences are executed based on interconnection standard requirements, with data logging and pass/fail assessment. Test coverage includes nameplate and configuration monitoring, voltage and frequency trip/ride-through testing, voltage disturbances, phase-angle change ride-through, enter service, active power limiting, power factor modes, voltage-reactive power modes, frequency-droop capability, and unintentional islanding tests. All tests support both RMS and waveform post-processing. The solution supports multiple DER protocols including SunSpec Modbus, IEEE 2030.5, and IEEE 1815 (DNP3). Equipment drivers are available for DC simulators from manufacturers like Ametek, Chroma, Keysight, and others, grid simulators from Ametek, Chroma, Elgar, and others, and data acquisition systems from Yokogawa and DEWESoft. Test reports are generated in Microsoft Excel format with highlighted compliance results. The platform includes a DER system simulator for operator training and gateway testing. Product versions include LabTest Pro, LabTest Plus for SunSpec Modbus validation, and SunSpec Dashboard for interface development.
