The product covers the following Microsoft 365 services: - Exchange Online: emails, attachments, notes, and folder structure - OneDrive: all files (including OneNote) and folders with file structure intact - SharePoint Online: custom generic site lists, folder structure, document libraries and sets, site assets, templates, and pages - Microsoft Teams: files, conversations, and calendar meetings in public channels It also backs up calendar data (events, recurrence, attendees, notes, attachments) and contacts (all contact information excluding photos). Backups are performed automatically on a daily basis and stored in the product's private cloud with no additional cost for unlimited data storage. A key use case is cost reduction for inactive or departed employee accounts: instead of maintaining active Microsoft 365 licences, organisations can deprovision accounts and store the data in the backup environment at £1.25 per user per month. The product addresses data loss scenarios including accidental deletion, overwrites via auto-save, malicious deletion by disgruntled employees, and ransomware encryption — the latter being a scenario where Microsoft itself recommends third-party backup as the recovery method.
