Byos Secure Networking Platform for Defense is a hardware-based microsegmentation solution designed to isolate, protect, and manage mobile remote assets and legacy devices, with a focus on defense and government use cases. The platform centers on the Byos Secure Edge™ family of hardware devices, which operate independently of the host operating system to provide network-level isolation. Three hardware form factors are available: - Embedded Edge™: An M.2 secure networking card installed in a laptop's WWAN slot - Endpoint Edge™: An external USB-C device for laptops and tablets - Gateway Edge™: An IoT gateway for stationary assets such as workstations, PLCs, and servers The platform includes a Centralized Control Plane consisting of: - Management Console™: An admin interface for managing and controlling access across a fleet of protected assets - Secure Lobby™: A secure SDN overlay for encrypted, controlled communications Key compliance and security certifications include CSfC (Commercial Solutions for Classified) compliance meeting MA CP 2.6 requirements for Retransmission (11.8) and Hardware Isolation (11.9), ITAR compliance with USA-manufactured hardware and a certified supply chain, and FIPS 140-2 validation (#4946). Security capabilities include hardware-based edge microsegmentation that renders endpoints invisible on local networks, Zero Trust least-privilege access enforcement, protection against lateral movement, ransomware, spoofing, DoS, and man-in-the-middle attacks, and agentless operation requiring no software installation on protected endpoints.
