BBT.live BeBroadband® as a Service Internet Breakout is a managed network service that provides two distinct internet traffic routing options — Cloud Breakout and Local Breakout — as part of a broader SD-WAN/SASE platform. Cloud Breakout routes user traffic through the BBT.live cloud infrastructure, where centralized security policies and monitoring are applied before traffic exits to the internet. Local Breakout routes traffic directly from the user's network to the internet, bypassing the BBT.live cloud, with security handled by the customer's own infrastructure. Both breakout options are underpinned by the following capabilities: - Multi-Access Technologies: Supports traditional broadband and 4G/5G connections, allowing flexible use of diverse network access options. - Security Features: Includes appliance device protection, Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW), and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) to protect traffic from the edge to the cloud. - Overlay Networks and Tunnels: Uses virtual overlay networks and encrypted tunnels (AES-256) to manage and optimize traffic routing between edge devices and the BBT.live cloud. - Traffic Steering: Supports Layer 7 (L7) traffic steering to direct specific applications or protocols outside the cloud, selecting the best-performing links and tunnels per application. - DPI-Based WAN Optimization: Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) is used to analyze, prioritize, and optimize data packets for both breakout options, improving performance for delay-sensitive applications. - Security Control and Monitoring: All traffic routed through overlays or tunnels is subject to security policy enforcement and continuous monitoring.
