Awareways Cultuurscan Description
Cultuurscan is a security culture measurement tool developed by Awareways that assesses how employees within an organization perceive and behave around information security, privacy, and compliance topics. The tool is based on the psychological "Theory of Planned Behavior" model by Icek Ajzen and has been scientifically validated in collaboration with the information security and privacy research community over a period of 10 years. It measures employee attitudes, knowledge, social norms, and behavior relating to security and privacy. The survey is anonymous, uses no cookies or tracking, is device-optimized, and takes approximately 8–10 minutes to complete. Results are delivered within a standard six-week process from intake to final output. Depending on the chosen plan, the tool delivers one or more of the following outputs: - A detailed PDF report with scores per question and concept, segmentable by team, supervisor role, or other demographic attributes, along with general improvement advice. - An infographic (Plus plan and above) summarizing key results for employees with a call to action. - A presentation (Pro plan and above) in which a social psychologist discusses results, compares groups to identify hidden behavioral risks, and provides concrete action points. Results are intended to inform follow-up actions such as learning recommendations, leadership sessions, communication campaigns, and targeted phishing simulations. The tool also supports stakeholder management and progress reporting to management.
