Atlassian Crowd Connector Description
The Atlassian Crowd Connector provides integration between identity management platforms and Atlassian Crowd for user account lifecycle management. The connector enables organizations to create, update, deactivate, and delete user accounts in Atlassian Crowd through automated provisioning workflows. The connector supports three primary use cases: Single Sign-On capabilities include SSO dashboard synchronization with manually created accounts, synchronization of randomly generated passwords from IAM systems when using Secure Web Authorization (SWA), and password reset synchronization for SWA or thick client scenarios. Identity Governance features enable aggregating governance data for compliance analysis, rogue account detection, and user activity monitoring. Identity Lifecycle Management functions include provisioning new user accounts, updating user account information, and deactivating or deleting users with account cleanup. The connector operates within the Aquera SCIM Provisioning Gateway, which is a SOC 2 Type II audited service hosted on Amazon Web Services. This architecture provides a standardized SCIM-based approach to identity management integration with Atlassian Crowd. Organizations can deploy use cases incrementally, starting with the most critical requirements and adding additional capabilities using the same connector infrastructure as needs evolve.
