EdgeWave iPrism 105h is an appliance-based Advanced Web Gateway that provides web security and content filtering for enterprise networks. The solution supports up to 10,000 workstations with 100+ Mbps throughput and can retain up to 790 million access event records. The appliance combines multiple security layers including web filtering with the iGuard URL database, anti-botnet technology, and a Circumvention Defense Network. It includes protection against malware, viruses, phishing, and botnets through multiple enforcement methods. The 105h model features an Intel Quad-Core Xeon X3470 2.93GHz processor with 4GB ECC DDR3 memory in a 1U rack-mountable form factor. The system includes on-box reporting capabilities with long-term data log retention, email alerts, real-time monitoring, and drill-down views without requiring additional hardware or software. Optional features include social networking management for granular control of social media usage, cloud-based remote web filtering for users outside the network, and Secure Browser for mobile device management. The solution provides application-level alerting that displays block messages within social media applications when policy violations are detected. Version 7.2 adds SSL inspection for HTTPS traffic analysis and integrated antivirus scanning. The appliance includes ProCare Elite support with 24/7 telephone access to technicians and a dedicated Technical Account Manager.
