Trent AI builds an agentic AI security platform. The platform continuously assesses AI agents, MCP servers, AI-native applications, and code shipped with AI coding tools, traces attack chains, and verifies proposed fixes landed. The company works with design partners including Canopy, Commscentre, ML@Cam, Qbeast, and Weblogic. Trent AI launched in 2025. It was founded by Eno Thereska, co-founder and CEO, former Distinguished Engineer at Alcion (acquired by Veeam), AWS and Confluent; Neil Lawrence, DeepMind Professor of Machine Learning at the University of Cambridge; and Zhenwen Dai, former Machine Learning Scientist at AWS and Senior Research Manager at Spotify. On 7 April 2026 the company raised a 13 million USD seed round led by LocalGlobe and Cambridge Innovation Capital, with participation from individuals at OpenAI, Spotify, Databricks and AWS. Trent AI is an OWASP Partner Startup member (March 2026) and a Startup Partner with Carnegie Mellon University's CyLab Venture Network (January 2026). In June 2026 The Hacker News named it Agentic AI Security Platform Leader in the 2026 Cybersecurity Stars Awards. The company provides the trentclaw open-source security assessment skill for OpenClaw.
